1966 is a global agency operating out of London, headed by Chairman Terry Byrne and supported by a team of eight people.1966 exclusively manages the commercial and charitable interests of the England football team, as well as representing The Team Medics and fashion company Elegantly Waisted. 1966 have recently expanded into the film industry as executive producers on several new British films featuring household names from both the small and big screen.
Team England:
1966 was originally founded to exclusively manage the commercial interests of the England Football Team, a role that includes full representation and management of the players’ commercial programme and relationship with the Football Association and its partners.
England Footballers Foundation:
1966 also manages the successful England Footballers Foundation that has to date raised over £1.5million for charitable causes following the team’s decision to donate their match fees and dedicate their time to chosen charity partners.
The Team Medics:
Last year 1966 teamed up with the country’s top medical consultants Dr Ian Beasley and Gary Lewin to create The Team Medics to introduce medical facilities and advice into international projects and to provide the highest quality sports referral service in the UK.
Elegantly Waisted:
1966 has established an exciting collaboration with fashion agency Elegantly Waisted London to fuse sport and fashion to create designs from initial concept that carries through to both domestic and international marketplace.
New York Cosmos:
1966's Chairman, Terry Byrne, is Vice Chairman of the New York Cosmos which re-launched in August 2010. New York Cosmos have since signed two of the biggest names in world football - Pele as Honorary President and Eric Cantona as Director of Soccer.
