CHELSEA'S PERFECT 10 by NEIL BARNETT

Chelsea's Perfect 10, written by Neil Barnett is a book about the club's greatest football players of all time. It focuses on the legends as well as its current players.

The players are selected from when Neil first started watching Chelsea back in 1959. They have been categorised as Eight-And-Two-Halves-And-One-For-The Future. The two halves are goalkeepers Peter Bonetti and Petr Cech. The one for the future is Joe Cole. The eight are Jimmy Greaves, Peter Osgood, Charlie Cooke, Kerry Dixon, Dennis Wise, Gianfranco Zola, John Terry and Frank Lampard.

The book doesn't just tell the players' stories but reveals the banter of the dressing room and the changing lifestyle of the footballers. Kerry Dixon recalls back in 1989 when he got into a drinking session which went on until 4.30am on a

Saturday morning before playing away to Tottenham. “We won 4-1, I scored my 150th League goal and got 10 out of 10 in the papers.”

Love him or hate him, Neil Barnett is part of the furniture at Stamford Bridge. Having worked for the club for over 20 years, there is little he doesn't know about Chelsea.

This book gets where the ever growing media spotlight can't always reach.
